Hi, my name is Karissa Spencer and I’m so excited you’re here! I have been teaching piano for over 13 years now, with the past 5 years being online. I LOVE music and the power it has to make us feel things. I love watching my students develop their talents and see how excited they get when things click.
My Methods
I teach mainly out of the Faber Piano Adventure method books in addition to several other books. I work diligently with my students on music theory, scales, and chord progressions as it helps them improve sight reading and learning other instruments in the future if they choose. I also encourage my students to participate in our semi-annual recitals as a chance to showcase their talents for friends and family. I love letting my students find songs to learn and help them find joy in creating music.
My Family
My best friend Berkley and I have been married for 6 years now and have the 2 cutest girls. We love reading books, playing board games, cooking hiking, camping, paddle boarding, skiing, and playing tennis.
